  FREE JW BOOKS......

  looks like we have sold our house and we will be doing the big move and transformation of our lives by the end of this month.

  yippee for us!!.

  anyhow, in the midst of all this packing i've come across a lot of extra jw books and i was going to save them for a bonfire but i thought i'd offer them up to any of you that may be interested.

  If you have one I'd like a copy of "Cooking for the Holidays the Watchtower Way" I haven't seen it but I understand it's a very thin book.

  ok, so in about 3 weeks, our best friend is coming to stay with us for a month.

  she is still a dubbie but she was recently reprimanded and her family is making her life a living hell.

  they are making her literally feel like shit.

  I agree that it is best to give her some kind of a warning about what you are doing. I think you have to be careful not to present it with a for us or against us attitude, you're just letting her know that this is what you do now. She probably won't care but if she does at least she won't feel like she has been abushed.

  The "Trinity" doctrine blasphemes Jehovah and Jesus.

  this is the last time i will post or read about the "trinity" doctrine because in my mind jehovah and jesus has enlightened me to see the real source of the so-called holy trinity.

  satan is the originator of this unbiblical doctrine.

  after i left jw's i felt i had to accept the trinity doctrine in order to be "saved".

  Once I cleared my head of Watchtower doctrine belief in the Trinity started to make more sense to me however I have had enough of arguing about it as a witness. One book I found to present this belief in it in an intelligent manor is: "Science and The Trinity" by John Polkinghorne, printed in 2004.

  hi everyone, i'm a newly registered member here.

  left the witnesses coming up to two years ago, got df about 8 months after that, still struggle with life after the 'truth', feel resentful of it all, but know i'd never return to that brain washing.

  What lies are you referring to? If you are going to accuse someone of lying you need to produce the evidence.

  So this family member doesn't believe the same way as you do. So what! You can still have relationship with them if you want to. The ball is in your court. You're the ones who pick up your marbles and don't want to play anymore just because someone doesn't agree with you.

  As for the internet. Learn the truth and the truth will set you free. It happens to the best of witness who venture out of the controling world of the Watchtower into internet world of free thought. If you want to remain a witness you need to obey the Watchtower and stay away from any form of information they don't control.

  For all I know he could be on this one.

  See you may have something in common with your relative after all. You go to the same apostate website. Hang out with the same apostates.

  Contrary to what you believe people aren't being dragged out of the Watchtower. When someone wants to be a JW facts don't bother them. No matter what facts are shown to them they call them lies and believe whatever the Watchtower tells them to believe. It's what you call being brainwashed. It is when someone is already having doubts that a sight like this is most helpful. It gives them a chance see the side the Watchtower has been hiding from them. Also a place to vent their anger about the lies and abuse they have suffered.

  You don't know how this has wrecked our family

  No, you choose to let it wreck your family. We have different beliefs in my family and the only ones who are a pain in the butt about it are the Witness. If your family gets torn apart over this it is because of how the Watchtower teaches you to view those who question their authority. You're the ones who turn your back on those who leave. Most witness who leave would still like to a relationship with their family.

  I will not come back to this board but you apostates need help

  So stick around and help us. We enjoy new members. You may not be a full fledged apostate but just being online and coming to this site shows great potential. You at least qualify for a junior apostate merit badge. Welcome aboard.

  Further update on my son and i having coffee...

  well, first thanks all for the posts before i left,.

  it went great,,,,i did not recognize him,,,,i couldnt believe it,,what a fine young man he became,,,,we had 2 hours of wonderful talking together (bad grammer but i am still in a fog:).

  when it was over we stood outside coffee shot for a few min and i am sure i saw a few tears, then he hugged me, for quite a few seconds...and basically he said he would leave in my hands to contact him,,,,here i was worried he wouldnt want to see me for another 9 years.

  Anniversary of sorts today, 6 years since I left

  yes, it is 6 years today since i entered a kingdom hall for the very last time, and with each passing year this particular "anniversary" gets happier.

  even better this time, i have so many people to share it with who have had the same kind of jw experiences as me, in the past the friends i have made since leaving the lie kind of acknowledged it, but didn't really understand, so i just want you all to share in my joy today.

  Happy Anniversay Depoet. I have been out over 20 years now and every year when it gets to about the time of year I got out I give thanks and celebrate. My life is sooo much better now than it would have been if I had stayed in that worthless organization.

  as many of you know, i have a myspace.com account.. apparently, while i was out last night, someone called my mother and informed her of my activities on myspace.

  my mother called and asked me for my login info, and was shocked to see me, and around 40 witnesses in my area having active profiles.

  contents of these profile ranged from a few pictures to downright self-incrimination.

  Sorry to hear you won't be posting for a while. I always enjoyed reading your comments. Be true to yourself but try to be respectful. Remember your mother thinks she is doing the right thing trying to force you to be a JW. Hopefully you can get her to understand you can't force someone to believe what you believe and it isn't right to try to do so. At best you create a hypocrite.

  WEDDING PHOTOS

  had a fantastic time, couldnt have asked for better weather...forecast said it was going to rain it was hot and sunny right up until we went inside for the reception then a brief shower or too so that was fantastic.. ceremony was over before i knew it, went without a hitch.. reception and photos both great fun.. pretty buggered now hehehehe.. the next few photos are of us in the morning unfort as yet i have none of the ceremony but will pass them on if anyone wants to see.
